That baby wears a hat, Part II (The Aviator)

I bought this little aviator's cap to keep his head warm since the hood on his coat keeps falling down in the wind. It's super soft, made of silk and wool. His head is almost too big for it. And, let's face it, he's a pretty baby. Everyone thinks he's a girl in it. [sad face]

Food is Fun!

The man is officially into food. Apples, pears, bananas, rice cakes, cheerios, cream of buckwheat cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, homemade chicken broth with chicken bits... He's loving it! And although it seems hard to believe... he is getting fatter! I have also become that mom that calls their child anything but their given name. I normally can't stand it, but somehow the only name I can seem to call him is "chubbers!"

Maddie's Best Day

Maddie has a "boyfriend." His name is Georgie. He gave Maddie a ring and a pair of clip-on earrings. So, she dressed up in her best dress (the one she wants to wear to Uncle Kevin's wedding) to wear to school. They had a "play" wedding during recess. I can't tell John anything about it because he's already getting that "I'm going to have to buy a shotgun" look in his eye. She is completely darling about it and keeps writing I [heart] Georgie all over the place. Oh. And he is really cute.

Un-Decking the Halls

That 12 foot tall Christmas tree seemed like such a great idea. Then, Christmas came...and went. And we realized the tree came in the house in a net. And we started considering how we would get the tree back out. It's kind of like the moment during the 8th month of pregnancy when you realize that somehow, that big thing has to come out of a... well, a small opening. And unlike the four babies we've had, I had a revelation. We would have to cut it. And so we did. Caution - this picture isn't for the faint of heart...
