A son is born!
At 7:35 this morning, Jackson Hickey was born. He entered the world peacefully at home in our master bathroom suite after about 6 hours of labor and and an hour or so of pushing. He weighed in at 8 lb, 4 oz and 21 1/2 inches long, our biggest baby yet. He is calm and serene - a welcome addition to the family. The birth was attended by Johnny, the midwife, and her assistant. Grandma Dot, Grandma Hickey and Aunt Jen arrived within an hour after he arrived. Liam, Maddie and Isabella each woke up in turn after the birth to meet their new little brother.
